Celebrating National Album Day by sharing the very first album I owned, which sold by the bucket load and went on the be the 5th biggest selling album of the 80s! Not bad considering it was only released in 1988!
The official theme for the celebration is 80s, an era that started 40 years ago. My selection is a fitting tribute as it launched the career of one of the most famous women on the planet who is still celebrating No.1 albums to this day, and fans are waiting with anticipation for the release of her 15th studio album: Disco, released November 6th. If Kylie hits the top spot with Disco, she will be the the first solo artist in history to have a No.1 album in five consecutive decades.
