The 2nd single from the much loved Aphrodite era, and although it isn’t one of my favourite albums of hers, it is the home of 2 of my favourite singles. All The Lovers has become a bit of an anthem for the lady herself, referring to her fans as ‘Lovers’ since the release of the Gold selling single.
Get Outta My Way is a personal favourite of mine. It peaked at No.12 in the UK Top 20. Although this particular single did not do well in her native Australia, it did do the business in America, hitting the top of US Hot Dance Club Chart at No.1.
The brilliant music video was filmed at the famous Pinewood Studios in London. The video is a full on dance routined affair and features her wearing light gloves which she uses to light up her face. In another scene she wears a striking gold dress of chains and performs an ensemble routine using chairs as props. I always thought that in this scene she resembles Charlize Theron.
This is one of her best videos imo, with over 24 million views and 107 thousand likes on her official YouTube channel. If you’ve never seen it, check it out, it’s bloody brilliant.
