My all time favourite ballad celebrates its 25th anniversary today.
I Am Blessed peaked in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart at No.7, spending 3 weeks in the Top 10 and twelve weeks overall in the UK chart. It was certified Silver for sales over 200,000 copies.
Written by Mark Mueller who also wrote Jennifer Paige’s Crush AND the much loved theme ditty for Duck Tales (fun fact!), and Marsha Malamet. Produced by Ronnie Wilson and Dennis Charles.
This festive ballad is a particular favourite of mine and is part of my #PopsmithFestivePlaylist.
It was the second single from their 2 x Platinum selling album Power Of A Woman.
